STEM for Early Childhood Education

Classic Montessori & STEM

Authentic Montessori, in practice, already embeds foundational STEM skills through sensorial isolation of variables, control of error, concrete-to-abstract progressions, practical life precision, and natural world encounters and classification. Our work extends these foundations with hands-on sequences that move from practical observation to abstract understanding, collaborative investigation, and student-led innovation. Offerings include regenerative farming education, soil and animal microbiomes, microscopy curriculum, equipment and support, and “The Secret life of a Cell” book and corresponding learning materials.

Partnering with schools and educational programs to put educators, parents, farmers, and youth in the natural science driver’s seat from birth to 12 years.

About Us

We Specialize in developing STEM experiences and instigating student intrinsic investigations in the Montessori setting and anywhere.

Our lessons are designed for self-directed, independent, peer collaborative, and demonstratable action. Using the prepared adult and the prepared environment, we offer rich classroom experiences that leads to outside and into the science lab!

Students as young as 3 can enjoy outdoor observations, microscopy, scientific inquiry, natural world connections, practical problem solving, engineering, and innovations!

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the school need to buy expensive and specialized materials and equipment?

No. Our program, in it’s initial stages, will supply a mobile microscopy lab with everything needed to follow the curriculum lessons and follow up with student led investigations and independent work during the project timeframe. Extensions such as drama manuscripts, art and presentations, research projects, interviewing experts in various related fields of study, and culminating the project with outward innovative work in the greater community.

How much will the Teacher Training in STEM cost the school?

The cost of participation in the program is a one time fee of $500 to conduct the initial training seminar and train educators and students in the use of the microscopy equipment. It is our goal, to be funded through varying Regenerative Agriculture and Youth Farmer grants. Extension curriculum, materials, and books are available for sale for additional classrooms as needed. Raising money to launch the curriculum comes directly from the Regenerative farms goods sold at our educational microscopy lab facility in Como, Colorado.

What is the time duration of the teacher -Student collaborative training in the Microscopy curriculum?

The initial curriculum demonstration and microscopy training takes place over a 6 week window of 6-half-day learning sessions. 2 hours are adult driven educator modules on site, while 2 hours are demonstrated in the classroom with Teacher and student collaboration per visit. The Educator component can be taken for larger numbers of educators by scheduling at the Regenerative Farm lab in Como, Colorado. Student microscopy training, regenerative farm tour, lessons, observation, and student-led projects are available to schedule at the farm.
